Civikas partnerships into action.
Project overview
NE Cambridge Innovation District
Capabilities demonstrated: Stakeholder engagement, value proposition development, governance.
Client: Global Institution Innovation Districts for Crown Estates
Date: August 2023 - on going

The job to be done
Bring key stakeholders together to develop a strong and highly tactical vision and value proposition around which to organise for success.
The key challenges
Multiple stakeholders from the public, private and academic sectors with different perspective on what an Innovation District for NE Cambridgeshire should seek to deliver. This is against a backdrop of intense development pressures within the Cambridgeshire region.

The approach taken
-
An initial workshop in August to understand the scope of the project and issues to be addressed
A second study starting in November to:
-
Clarify the strategic intentions of partners in the short, medium and long-term.
-
Identify common ground - areas of synergy or potential collaboration, where additional value can be created through collaboration.
-
Develop a delivery model and governance arrangements enabling you to work in a more integrated way.

Outcome and impact
We are at the start of our discussions and will be preparing recommendations in early 2024.
